Large alexandrite crystal ashtray produced by the renowned Kristall Krisla factory, a historic brand from Colle di Val d'Elsa, the heart of Italian crystal production, in the 1970s. It has a circular and compact shape, but its uniqueness lies in its side and internal design. The outer edge is embellished with a series of hollows and solids carved into the crystal, creating a sculptural and tactile effect. The amethyst colour (a delicate lilac\/lavender) is particularly charming, giving the piece a unique shine and transparency typical of lead crystal. The distinctive feature of this type of material, however, lies mainly in the fact that the colour shifts from shades of lilac to blue depending on the refraction of light.
